A SCREECH OF A GOOD TIME

Thud and Blunder packed up their gear — at least, the things that hadn’t been stomped into the ground. Then they followed the path the ogre had created through the woods. It led straight to Castle Kidnapt’s front door.

“It sure was in a hurry to get away,” Thud said of the ogre.

“That’s because it was afraid of me,” Blunder said boldly.

“Ha! That’s funny,” a high-pitched voice shouted at them from above. “One of my ogres running from a scrawny knight like you.”

Thud and Blunder look up at the castle’s battlements. High above was the princess.
